Growth Account Executive, Startups
About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic's EMEA Startups team works with the companies building AI-native products on Claude, from Seed through Series B and beyond. The Growth Account Executive owns a portfolio of startups that are already building on Claude and is responsible for growing that relationship: deepening Claude's role in the customer's product, structuring the commercial agreements that support their scale, and defending the account as the competitive landscape shifts. This is a consultative role. Native AI companies move fast, change direction often, and make decisions on technical merit. Earning a seat at the table means building real relationships with founders and technical leaders, understanding their product and roadmap as well as they do, and helping them build on the frontier — bringing them the latest models and capabilities early, showing them what's possible, and turning that into adoption. Commercial outcomes follow from that trust. You work closely with our Applied AI (AAI) team, who bring deep technical partnership to our highest-potential accounts, but you are expected to understand what each customer is building and identify the next use case yourself. Helping customers build on the frontier is part of this job, not something you hand off. Responsibilities Own a portfolio of high-potential AI-native startups across EMEA, with full accountability for revenue growth and retention Build long-term, trusted relationships with founders, CTOs and technical leads, acting as their advisor on how to build with Claude Help customers build on the frontier: bring new model releases and capabilities to them early, work through where they apply, and drive adoption into the core of the product Develop use cases: understand each customer's product and roadmap, identify where Claude can go deeper, and make it happen Structure, size and time usage-based commitments, including multi-surface agreements across the Claude API, Claude Code and Claude for Work Navigate competitive pressure, including aggressive discounting, with a clear point of view on value rather than price Partner with the Applied AI team on technical strategy for your accounts and coordinate their involvement where it creates the most leverage Build and maintain relationships across the EMEA VC and accelerator ecosystem to source and qualify pipeline Bring structured feedback from your portfolio to Product and Go-to-Market leadership You may be a good fit if you have 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in consumption or usage-based sales at a cloud provider, infrastructure, data platform or developer tools company A track record of expanding existing accounts: you have carried a growth or expansion number and understand how commits, credits and usage curves work A consultative selling style, with evidence that customers treat you as an advisor rather than a vendor Experience selling to early- and growth-stage startups and comfort with the pace and informality of founder-led companies Enough technical depth to hold a credible conversation with a CTO about APIs, model selection and AI product architecture, and to recognise where a new capability fits Existing relationships in the European startup, VC or accelerator ecosystem Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus Strong candidates often have Time inside a startup, not just selling to them Hands-on experience building with LLMs, even on side projects A history of describing wins by what the customer built rather than the size of the deal The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: €155.000 — €205.000 EUR Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. Staff Software Engineer, AI Reliability Engineering
About the Role Claude has your back. AIRE has Claude's. Help us keep Claude reliable for everyone who depends on it. AIRE (AI Reliability Engineering) partners with teams across Anthropic to improve reliability across our most critical serving paths -- every hop from the SDK through our network, API layers, serving infrastructure, and accelerators and back. We jump into the trenches alongside partner teams to make the systems that deliver Claude more robust and resilient, be it during an incident or collaborating on projects. Reliability here is an emergent phenomenon that transcends any single team's boundaries, so someone has to zoom out and look at the whole picture. That's us -- and it means few teams at Anthropic offer this kind of dynamic, cross-cutting exposure to the systems that matter most. Responsibilities Develop appropriate Service Level Objectives for large language model serving systems, balancing availability and latency with development velocity. Design and implement monitoring and observability systems across the token path. Assist in the design and implementation of high-availability serving infrastructure across multiple regions and cloud providers Lead incident response for critical AI services, ensuring rapid recovery, thorough incident reviews, and systematic improvements. Support the reliability of safeguard model serving -- critical for both site reliability and Anthropic's safety commitments. You may be a good fit if you Have strong distributed systems, infrastructure, or reliability backgrounds -- we're looking for reliability-minded software engineers and SREs. Are curious and brave -- comfortable jumping into unfamiliar systems during an incident and helping drive resolution even when you don't have deep expertise yet. Think holistically about how systems compose and where the seams are. Can build lasting relationships across teams -- our engagement model depends on being welcomed as teammates, not outsiders with opinions. Care about users and feel ownership over outcomes, even for systems you don't own. Have excellent communication and collaboration skills -- you'll be partnering across the entire company. Bring diverse experience -- the team's strength comes from people who've built product stacks, scaled databases, run massive distributed systems, and everything in between. Strong candidates may also Have been an SRE, Production Engineer, or in similar reliability-focused roles on large scale systems Have experience operating large-scale model serving or training infrastructure (>1000 GPUs). Community Engagement Manager, Data Centres (Canada)
About the role Anthropic is building AI systems that will shape the trajectory of one of the most consequential technologies in human history. That work requires physical infrastructure at significant scale, and building that infrastructure the right way means being a real, long-term partner to the communities where we operate. We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager in Canada to join our Public Policy team and serve as Anthropic's on-the-ground presence in the communities where our data centres are sited, built, and operated. This is not a communications role or a government affairs role, though you will do elements of both. It is a relationship role: your job is to make Anthropic a trusted, visible, and valued neighbour, from the earliest stages of site selection through construction and long-term operations. You will be the connective tissue between Anthropic's Policy and Infrastructure teams and the local officials, community organizations, economic development partners, and residents who have a stake in what we build. You will surface concerns before they escalate, translate our technical and operational plans into clear local benefits, and build the coalitions that allow us to move quickly and responsibly. Because Anthropic's infrastructure footprint is still early in its growth, you will also help write the playbook: the processes you build in your first markets are the ones we will use as we expand. You will travel regularly within your region, up to 50% of the time, and occasionally to other Anthropic data centre markets. Key responsibilities Build and maintain trusted, sustained relationships with municipal governments, both elected and unelected, provincial ministers and agencies, economic development organizations, community groups, civic leaders, educational institutions, and workforce partners in the data centre markets you cover Develop and execute a community engagement strategy for each of your markets, spanning site selection, pre-development, construction, and ongoing operations Build external coalitions, host education and listening sessions, and design local solutions that deliver real benefits to the communities where we operate Represent Anthropic in public forums, town halls, planning hearings, community events, and local media Monitor community sentiment and local political dynamics, and advise internal teams on risks, opportunities, and the right pace and posture for engagement Partner with the Real Estate and Infrastructure team to bring community input into how projects are planned, communicated, and delivered, not just how they are announced Work with the Communications team to develop proactive, locally relevant messaging Coordinate charitable giving, community investment, and economic development commitments in your markets, including managing nonprofit partner relationships Partner with the Energy and Sustainability team to explain our approach to environmental stewardship and respond to questions about power, water, and land use Build a community engagement playbook and repeatable processes that scale as Anthropic's infrastructure footprint grows Minimum qualifications Experience in community affairs, public affairs, economic development, government relations, municipal or provincial government, or a closely related field Direct experience working for or engaging with municipal governments, both elected councils and administration, and provincial government on behalf of large infrastructure, construction, energy, or technology projects, with a working understanding of how local politics and community dynamics actually play out A skilled relationship and coalition builder who earns trust with a diverse group of stakeholders, and who maintains relationships through difficult conversations The ability to represent a company credibly in public settings — town halls, hearings, press interviews Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn a complex operational plan into plain language that a local official or reporter can understand and respond to The ability to work independently, get up to speed quickly on complex policy issues, and manage multiple concurrent engagements across different markets without losing track of any of them Based in Alberta, Canada or willing to relocate there, and prepared to travel regularly across the region Preferred qualifications 7+ years of experience in community engagement specifically on data centre, utility, energy, or large-scale industrial infrastructure projects, or in local government Familiarity with land use, zoning, and development permitting processes at the municipal and provincial level Experience managing corporate social responsibility programs Established relationships with economic development, workforce, or civic organizations in the markets this role covers Experience working with real estate, legal, communications, and policy teams at the same time A genuine interest in the communities where you work, not just the projects you are managing Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Compute Country Lead, Canada
About the role Anthropic is scaling compute internationally — growing our footprint in new countries. We're hiring a Country Lead to be the single, accountable owner of our compute strategy in Canada: the person who leads a team of cross-functional experts driving site selection, leasing, energy, financing, government relations and policy, community engagement, construction, and operations. This person will be ultimately responsible for bringing gigawatts of compute online in Canada. You won't build this alone. The specialist functions — leasing, energy, policy, construction, finance — are hired and managed centrally by functional leads based in San Francisco. Your job is to provide cross-functional leadership over that team in-country: coordinating and driving accountability across workstreams, while representing Anthropic externally with government and industry counterparts in Canada. This is a high-ambiguity, high-trust role for someone who can bring structure to a fast-growing, cross-functional effort without needing formal authority to do it. Responsibilities Own the end-to-end strategy and coordination for Anthropic's compute build-out in Canada, from initial site selection through construction and operations. While each component will be run by subject matter experts, this role will act as the overall leader and coordinator of that team. Serve as the primary point of accountability for cross-functional workstreams; leasing, financing, energy, government relations/policy, community engagement, construction, and operations. Provide working leadership to the in-country cross-functional team, driving alignment and unblocking issues. Represent Anthropic with government officials, utilities, energy providers, and other external stakeholders in Canada. Build and maintain relationships within the Canadian government and the energy industry to support site, power, and policy outcomes. Track progress and surface risks across parallel workstreams as the country's compute footprint scales from initial sites to multiple gigawatts. Translate between Anthropic's global compute priorities and the specific regulatory, political, and market conditions in Canada. Requirements Canadian national with established links into government and the energy industry strongly preferred. Structured thinker with a track record of learning new domains quickly and going deep fast. Excellent communicator, comfortable representing Anthropic to senior government, utility, and industry stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct line authority. Hyper-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to own multiple concurrent workstreams at once. New Product Introduction (NPI) Sourcing Manager, Data Center Power & Cooling
About the role Anthropic is building AI compute at a scale and pace that outruns what off-the-shelf data center equipment was designed for. Much of the power and cooling equipment behind our next campuses — battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid-forming and grid-following inverters, solid-state transformers (SST), E-STATCOM and other power-quality devices, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS, and liquid-cooling systems — is either new to the market, new to the supplier, or being built at a volume the supplier has never shipped before. The NPI Engineer owns the path from "the supplier has a design" to "the equipment is qualified, manufacturable at rate, and running reliably on site." You sit between our electrical and mechanical design teams, our supply chain and quality teams, and the supplier's engineering and factory organizations, and you make sure every new product or major variant clears the gates — EVT, DVT, PVT, FAT, SAT — before it is trusted with production load. This is a hands-on role: you will spend real time on supplier factory floors, in test labs, and at site commissioning. What you'll do Own the NPI program for each new power or cooling product (BESS, inverters, SST, E-STATCOM, MV switchgear, UPS, CDUs, chillers) from concept selection through ramp, including the gate schedule, exit criteria, and risk register. Drive early supplier design engagement: translate our site requirements (fault current, grid interconnection, harmonic and ride-through requirements, thermal envelopes, footprint, serviceability) into product requirements and specifications the supplier can build to, and negotiate trade-offs with their engineering teams. Lead DFM/DFT/DFx reviews with suppliers so designs are manufacturable at the rate we need, testable in the factory, and serviceable in the field. Plan and run prototype and pilot builds: define EVT/DVT/PVT scope and sample counts, witness builds, own test plans (type testing, HALT/HASS, thermal, EMC, protection coordination, functional and integration tests), and drive root cause and corrective action on every failure. Qualify the product for deployment: define and execute first-article inspection, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated system testing with the rest of the electrical and cooling chain, and sign off on production readiness. Hand off to steady state: transfer qualified products, control plans, test procedures, and known-issue lists to the Manufacturing Quality and Supply Chain Delivery teams, and support them through the first production ramps. Build the reliability picture: run FMEA/DFMEA with suppliers, define reliability targets and burn-in requirements, and feed field failure data back into the next revision. Coordinate cross-functionally with design engineering, construction, commissioning, utilities/interconnection, safety, and sourcing so NPI schedules are integrated with campus delivery schedules. Keep suppliers honest: track readiness and risk with clear metrics, escalate early, and hold technical reviews that resolve issues rather than admire them. You may be a good fit if you have 8+ years of engineering experience in power electronics, electrical equipment, or industrial energy systems, with at least 4 years in an NPI, product development, or product engineering role that owned a product from prototype through production ramp. Direct, hands-on experience with at least two of: BESS, utility- or data-center-scale inverters, medium-voltage transformers or switchgear, UPS, STATCOM/power-quality equipment, or liquid cooling systems (CDUs, chillers, hydronics). Working knowledge of the relevant standards and how they get applied in qualification: UL 9540/9540A, UL 1741 and IEEE 1547, IEEE 2800, IEC 62477 / IEC 62909, IEEE C37 and C57 series, NFPA 70/855, UL 1778, and comparable IEC equivalents. Experience defining and executing structured qualification programs (EVT/DVT/PVT, FAT/SAT, type testing, reliability testing) and closing failures with disciplined root cause analysis and CAPA. Familiarity with supplier factory environments — production lines, test bays, quality systems — and the ability to assess a supplier's real readiness to ship at rate. Fluency in design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test principles and the supplier ECO/change-control process. Strong systems thinking: you can reason about how an inverter, a battery, a transformer, and a cooling loop behave together at a site, not just in isolation. Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort driving decisions across engineering, supply chain, and executive audiences. A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or power engineering, or equivalent experience. Willingness to travel 30–40% to supplier factories and data center sites, including internationally. Strong candidates may also have Experience with solid-state transformers, grid-forming inverters, E-STATCOM, or other emerging power-conversion equipment being introduced to data center or utility applications for the first time. NPI or product engineering experience at a hyperscaler, a large utility-scale developer, or a Tier-1 power equipment OEM. Background in grid interconnection studies, protection coordination, or power-system modeling (PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, or similar). Liquid cooling product introduction experience — CDU, rear-door heat exchanger, direct-to-chip, or immersion systems. Reliability engineering credentials (CRE, Six Sigma) or experience running HALT/HASS programs. Firmware and controls validation experience for power conversion equipment (inverter control loops, BMS, EMS, PLC/SCADA integration). Experience standing up or scaling new supplier manufacturing lines, including contract manufacturing and international sites. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Software Engineer, Financial Engineering
About the team OpenAI’s Applied AI organization turns our latest model capabilities into products used by hundreds of millions of consumers, developers, and organizations worldwide. Our teams build the product experiences and platform foundations behind ChatGPT, Codex, our API platform, and offerings for businesses, enterprises, educational institutions, and other customers. Financial Engineering powers how customers purchase, access, and pay for these products. We build the systems behind pricing and packaging, checkout, payments, subscriptions, usage-based billing, credits, entitlements, invoicing, and the broader order-to-cash lifecycle. Our work spans consumer subscriptions, self-serve businesses, sophisticated enterprise agreements, developer usage, and emerging monetization models. These systems sit at the intersection of product experience and financial infrastructure. They must make it easy for customers to adopt OpenAI products while maintaining strong guarantees around correctness, reliability, security, reconciliation, and auditability. We partner closely with Product, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Risk, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams to launch new offerings and build a financial platform that can evolve with OpenAI’s rapidly growing product portfolio. We are looking for an experienced engineer to help architect and build the next generation of these systems. In this role, you will: Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend, platform, or distributed systems. Have strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, storage systems, transactional workflows, and event-driven architecture. Have experience building systems where correctness, reliability, observability, security, or data integrity are especially important. Are comfortable owning ambiguous, business-critical problems from initial definition through launch and long-term operation. Bring a product-oriented mindset and care about creating simple, trustworthy experiences for both external customers and internal users. Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners and enjoy working closely with Product, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Data, and Go-to-Market teams. Make thoughtful tradeoffs between near-term delivery and long-term system quality. Move quickly and independently in an environment where requirements evolve, priorities compete, and the right solution is not always obvious. Nice to Have: Experience with payments, subscriptions, billing, pricing, credits, entitlements, invoicing, revenue systems, or other monetization infrastructure. Experience with high-scale financial or transactional systems, reconciliation workflows, compliance requirements, or audit controls. Experience building shared platforms, APIs, frameworks, or developer tools used by multiple product teams.
