About the Team OpenAI's Professional Services team helps organizations move from AI ambition to durable production outcomes. We partner with customers on complex deployments and build the strategy, commercial models, operating mechanisms, and delivery capacity needed to realize value from OpenAI's models and products. The team works across Go-to-Market, Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Success, Finance, Product, Legal, Data, Systems, and delivery partners. We are building a services motion that is customer-centered, commercially rigorous, operationally scalable, and deliberately connected to product adoption. About the Role We are seeking a senior GTM Strategy & Operations professional to build and scale the operating system for OpenAI's Professional Services business. This is a foundational, hands-on individual contributor role at the intersection of business strategy, finance, go-to-market, and delivery. You will turn ambiguous questions—what we offer, how we price and package it, how we plan capacity, and how we measure performance—into clear decisions and repeatable mechanisms. You will own business planning, pricing and packaging, forecasting and modeling, management reporting, and cross-functional strategic initiatives. You will build integrated views of demand, staffing, revenue, margin, and delivery performance; replace one-off analyses with durable processes; and create operating cadences that help leaders act early. You will be a trusted partner to Professional Services, GTM, FDE, Technical Success, Finance, Product, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Data leaders. The right person combines direct Professional Services judgment with rigorous analytics, executive communication, and the willingness to build the model, process, or dashboard themselves. You’ll be responsible for: Define and drive the business and GTM strategy for Professional Services, including target customer needs, offer portfolio, positioning, pricing and packaging, partner motions, and where to standardize versus tailor delivery. Own long-range, annual, and quarterly planning for the services business, translating goals into bookings, revenue, margin, capacity, utilization, role mix, geography, hiring, and investment assumptions. Build and maintain integrated demand, capacity, staffing, and revenue models; develop scenarios and sensitivities; improve bottom-up forecast accuracy; and turn the output into clear executive recommendations. Design the management system for the business: KPIs, source-of-truth reporting, dashboards, pipeline and staffing reviews, and monthly and quarterly operating cadences. Improve the end-to-end services lifecycle from opportunity intake and scoping through commercial design, contracting, staffing, delivery, and expansion, partnering with Revenue Operations and Systems rather than duplicating their ownership. Partner with Finance, Legal, GTM, FDE, Technical Success, and delivery leaders on business cases, services economics, deal tradeoffs, resource allocation, and investment decisions. Lead ambiguous cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation, creating clear decision rights, mechanisms, and accountability. Translate recurring customer and delivery patterns into inputs for product strategy, enablement, partner strategy, and more repeatable product-plus-services offerings that accelerate durable product adoption. We’re looking for someone with: 8+ years of experience in GTM Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, Strategic Finance, management consulting, or a comparable role, including direct experience in a technology Professional Services, implementation, systems-integration, consulting, or managed-services business. Deep command of services economics and operating levers such as pipeline, bookings, backlog, revenue timing, gross margin, utilization, capacity, staffing mix, delivery quality, and customer outcomes. Exceptional quantitative modeling skills: you can build auditable demand, staffing, revenue, and scenario models; work fluently in spreadsheets; and use SQL, BI, or other data tools to test assumptions and improve decisions. Strong commercial and GTM judgment across pricing and packaging, offer design, forecasting, resource allocation, and complex enterprise delivery motions. A record of turning ambiguous strategy into repeatable operating mechanisms, decision frameworks, reporting rhythms, and measurable results. Excellent executive communication and influence; you can frame choices, surface assumptions, and drive alignment across technical and non-technical leaders. Demonstrated leadership of complex cross-functional programs and teams. People-management experience is helpful, but this role is initially scoped as a senior individual contributor. A low-ego, high-ownership working style, comfort with rapid change, and genuine interest in how frontier AI can create durable customer value. About Team Our Robotics team is focused on unlocking general-purpose robotics and advancing toward AGI-level intelligence in dynamic, real-world environments. Working across the full model and systems stack, we integrate cutting-edge hardware and software to explore a broad range of robotic form factors. We strive to seamlessly blend high-level AI capabilities with the physical constraints of real-world systems to improve people’s lives. About Role We are building a supply-chain organization capable of supporting our transition from laboratory-scale development to factory-scale operations. We are looking for an Inventory Manager to build and operate our inventory function from the ground up. This is a highly hands-on role. In the near term, you may start with an empty room and be responsible for determininga what racks, shelving, bins, labels, scanners, workflows, and systems are needed to turn it into a functional stockroom. You will receive material, organize inventory, perform counts, move parts between buildings, resolve discrepancies, and establish the processes others will eventually follow. As we grow, you will have the opportunity to develop this foundation into a full-scale, multi-site factory inventory operation. You may hire and manage contractors or onsite inventory administrators, but this role will initially have a significant individual-contributor component and will remain accountable for day-to-day execution. This role owns inventory and internal logistics. It does not own purchasing, production planning, or inbound and outbound supplier logistics. This role is based in San Francisco, CA and requires in-person presence 5 days a week. In this role you will: Build inventory operations from the ground up across various OpenAI facilities. Design and set up stockrooms, receiving areas, and material-storage locations, including selecting racks, shelving, bins, carts, labeling equipment, scanners, and other infrastructure. Personally execute core inventory activities, including receiving, labeling, putaway, picking, kitting, issuing, cycle counting, transfers, returns, and inventory adjustments. Establish practical receiving procedures that ensure incoming material is identified, recorded, inspected or quarantined when appropriate, and made available quickly. Hire, train, and manage contractors or onsite inventory administrators as volume and facility needs grow. Create location structures, naming conventions, barcode workflows, material-status controls, and standard work. Maintain accurate visibility into what inventory exists, where it is located, and whether it is available for use. Establish and maintain cycle-counting and physical-inventory programs, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Own internal logistics and material movement between company facilities, including transfer processes, delivery schedules, chain of custody, transaction accuracy, and reconciliation. Develop appropriate controls for serialized, lot-controlled, high-value, consigned, returned, obsolete, and nonconforming material. Serve as the business owner for inventory tools and workflows. Partner with the systems team to translate operational needs into requirements, prioritize improvements, test new functionality, and drive adoption. Create procedures and training that allow inventory operations to be replicated consistently at new facilities. Identify inventory risks, shortages, excess material, unidentified material, and process breakdowns before they disrupt operations. You might thrive in this role if you: 4+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, materials operations, internal logistics, or a related field. Experience building or substantially improving an inventory operation, not only working within an established one. Strong working knowledge of receiving, putaway, picking, kitting, cycle counting, material transfers, inventory reconciliation, and physical inventory controls. Willingness to work directly in stockrooms, receiving areas, laboratories, and manufacturing spaces. Ability to move comfortably between strategic design and hands-on execution. Experience selecting and implementing physical inventory infrastructure such as racks, shelving, bins, labeling systems, barcode scanners, and material-handling equipment. Familiarity with ERP, WMS, MES, or inventory-management systems and the transactions required to maintain accurate inventory. Willingness to travel regularly among company facilities. What success looks like: Within the first 6 months, you will have: Turned empty or informal storage areas into organized, functional stockrooms. Established consistent receiving, storage, counting, and material-transfer processes across active facilities. Created reliable visibility into what inventory exists, where it is located, and whether it is available for use. Implemented practical location controls, labeling standards, transaction procedures, and cycle counting. Built a reliable inter-building logistics process with clear ownership and traceability. About the Team The Growth team drives user and revenue growth across ChatGPT’s consumer and business segments as well as other OpenAI products worldwide. We operate across the full funnel - from awareness and acquisition through activation, retention, and expansion - using a combination of global performance marketing, AI-powered workflows, in-product optimization, insights, experimentation, and creative ops engineering. About the Role We are hiring a Lifecycle Lead to build the company-wide owned-channel capability that helps teams reach users with relevant, timely, and trustworthy experiences. This senior, hands-on leader will set the lifecycle strategy, partner with Engineering to build the orchestration and deployment platform, and establish the operating model that allows teams across the company to launch and improve evergreen programs safely at scale. You will sit at the intersection of platform, product, and campaign strategy. You will partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Analytics on the underlying systems, and with Product Marketing Managers and other client teams to design journeys that help new, active, and returning users reach value and build durable habits. In this role, you will: Partner with product to set the company-wide vision, roadmap, and operating model for lifecycle and owned-channel engagement. Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Analytics to shape the tooling and infrastructure for identity, audiences, eligibility, consent, triggers, orchestration, decisioning, frequency, experimentation, localization, quality assurance, and observability. Define scalable deployment workflows—including self-service and centrally supported paths, intake, templates, approvals, governance, service levels, and incident response—so teams across the company can launch safely and efficiently. Partner with Product Marketing Managers and other client teams to translate audience, product, and business goals into evergreen journey strategies across onboarding, activation, continuation, retention, resurrection, and monetization. Lead the design, launch, iteration, and optimization of templates and journeys across email, push, and in-product messaging, including the deep-linked landing and post-click product experiences that complete the loop. Partner with Growth DS to build a measurement system that connects reach, eligibility, delivery, engagement, landing behavior, task completion, retained activity, and incremental value through sound experiments and holdouts. Optimize the lifecycle portfolio—not just individual sends—by improving inventory, relevance, personalization, prioritization, and per-user frequency. Inform our owned channel / upsell strategy–establish a high bar for deliverability, user preferences, localization, and operational quality, and trust while influencing senior stakeholders across the company. You might thrive in this role if you have: 10+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, growth, product marketing, or marketing technology, ideally in a global consumer or subscription business. A track record of building and scaling lifecycle tooling or platforms with Engineering for multiple teams, products, audiences, or markets. Strong technical and product fluency across event and identity models, data pipelines, APIs, segmentation, triggering, decisioning, experimentation, and deployment systems; coding experience is not required. Deep campaign and journey craft, with experience designing evergreen programs that move users from message to product value and durable behavior. Strong experimentation and measurement judgment, including incrementality, holdouts, cohort quality, retention, and lifetime value—not just delivery or click metrics. Experience creating operating models, governance, templates, and quality standards that increase organizational velocity without creating channel chaos. Executive-level cross-functional influence and clear communication across Engineering, Product, Data Science, Analytics, PMM, Creative, Legal, Privacy, and regional teams. A hands-on, systems-oriented leadership style: you can set a multi-year direction, write the brief, inspect the journey, diagnose failures, and make pragmatic tradeoffs in a fast-moving environment. We combine product engineering, plugins and skills, connectors, data, evaluations, and customer evidence to turn useful demos into reliable daily work. This opening sits within the Technology vertical inside Enterprise Verticals. We work closely with Design, Research, GTM, Security, and platform teams, as well as with customers and design partners. Success means that people can reach a trustworthy first result, understand what the system did, and keep using the workflow—not merely that a prototype exists. About the Role We are looking for a full-stack product engineer who can own ambiguous enterprise workflows end to end: understand a customer problem, shape the product, build across frontend and backend, work through platform dependencies, instrument quality, and learn quickly with design partners. You will build across ChatGPT Work surfaces, services, plugins, connectors, and data or permission boundaries when the experience requires it. You will make quality and rollout observable through evaluations, product and operational signals, and clear fallback or rollback paths. This is a product-engineering role for someone who can move between user problems and system details without losing ownership of either. The strongest candidates will be able to turn specific customer evidence into a generalizable product, explain scope and architecture tradeoffs, and carry a feature from an early prototype through a bounded production rollout. In this role, you will: Build and ship role-specific workflows across ChatGPT Work surfaces, services, plugins, and connectors. Turn customer and design-partner evidence into clear product decisions, milestones, and measurable quality gates without overfitting to a single customer. Partner with Design, Research, GTM, Security, and platform teams. Create robust evaluations, observability, and rollback paths. Own the full loop from prototype through bounded rollout and iteration. Define explicit contracts and fallback paths with shared platform teams when a workflow depends on connectors, permissions, model routing, or other cross-team systems. You might thrive in this role if: You are a strong product engineer with excellent product judgment. You are comfortable moving across frontend, backend, APIs, data, and systems integration. You communicate clearly with customers and cross-functional partners. You use evidence and tests to make ambiguous work observable. You care about enterprise permissions, reliability, privacy, and rollout safety. You have shipped a user-facing product through ambiguity and can explain the decisions, tradeoffs, and evidence behind it. You can translate a concrete customer workflow into a general product without losing the details that make the first experience useful. Preferred qualifications: Experience building and operating full-stack production products across a modern frontend stack (such as React/TypeScript) and backend services (such as Python, Go, Node.js, or comparable technologies). Experience designing evolvable APIs, data models, and distributed or integration-heavy systems, including authentication, identity, permissions, secure data flows, and partial-failure behavior. Experience owning production systems at scale, including observability, performance, testing, incident response, safe migrations, staged rollout, and rollback. Experience building applied-AI or conversational products and evaluating probabilistic behavior with grounding, quality signals, and human-feedback loops. Experience building dashboards, data visualizations, or workflow and insight products that make complex information understandable and actionable. Familiarity with experimentation, product metrics, and iterative development, including instrumenting user outcomes from first use through retained usage.
