We work globally, across all Stripe offerings and with all company segments — from startups to the largest enterprises. What you'll do As a China Growth Marketer, you will own launching, proving out, and scaling paid media and growth marketing channels for the Chinese market. This is a 0-to-1 role: you'll identify the right channels, build the playbooks, and demonstrate what works before scaling investment. You'll work across paid channels native to China (WeChat, Baidu, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, Bilibili, and others), as well as broader growth marketing levers like web optimization, content distribution, and landing page localization for Chinese users. You will be the in-house expert on how to reach Chinese developers, founders, and business operators through digital channels, bringing deep knowledge of the local ecosystem, platform mechanics, regulatory environment, and user behavior. You'll partner cross-functionally with regional marketing, analytics, creative, product marketing, and sales to ensure paid media supports Stripe's growth objectives in China. Responsibilities Launch and scale paid media channels specific to the China market — including WeChat Ads, Baidu SEM, Douyin/Ocean Engine, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, Bilibili, and programmatic platforms (e.g., Tencent Guangdiantong, ByteDance Pangolin) Develop and execute a testing roadmap to prove channel viability: define hypotheses, run experiments, measure incrementality, and make go/no-go recommendations on scaling investment Own web optimization and landing page localization for Chinese audiences — ensuring Stripe's web presence converts effectively for local users Build measurement frameworks for China-specific channels, partnering with analytics to attribute performance through to signups, activations, and revenue Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and performance reporting — communicating results clearly to stakeholders across time zones Bring the skills and experience to unblock, set up and navigate media platforms and partnerships in the market. Stay current on China's digital marketing landscape: platform algorithm changes, content regulations, privacy laws (PIPL), and emerging channels Partner with regional marketing, sales, and product marketing to align paid media with broader China go-to-market strategy Write concise performance updates and strategic recommendations for a global audience that ranges from paid media specialists to senior leadership Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements 5+ years of digital marketing experience with significant hands-on experience running paid campaigns on China-native platforms (WeChat, Baidu, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, or similar) High professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English — able to write ad copy, review creative, and communicate strategy in both languages Deep knowledge of the China digital marketing ecosystem: platform mechanics, ad formats, targeting capabilities, content regulations, and user behavior patterns Experience launching new channels from scratch — demonstrated ability to take a channel from 0 to 1, prove its value, and scale it Strong analytical skills — ability to analyze campaign data, identify trends, and make data-driven optimization decisions Experience in B2B marketing, SaaS, developer tools, fintech, or high-growth technology companies Self-starter mentality — ability to drive strategic and tactical work forward with minimal oversight in a fast-moving environment Excellent written communication skills — can write concise, clear updates for a global audience with varying levels of paid media expertise Preferred qualifications 7+ years of digital marketing experience with deep China market specialization Experience marketing to developers or technical audiences in China Familiarity with China-specific analytics and attribution tools Experience with web optimization, CRO, or landing page testing for Chinese audiences Understanding of China's regulatory environment as it relates to digital advertising (PIPL, CAC content regulations, industry-specific ad restrictions) Experience working in a global company with cross-timezone collaboration
