About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic's GTM Programs team turns our most strategic go-to-market priorities into structured, measurable programs that make our field the most successful they can be, thereby ensuring our customers' experience with our products is nothing short of exceptional. The team serves as a core strategic business partner function to the GTM organization, playing a critical role in driving growth and operational excellence, and in accelerating the safe adoption of frontier AI across the world's leading enterprises. We're looking for a dynamic operator: a senior individual contributor who will serve as a trusted advisor to AMER Sales Leadership, driving strategic initiatives across Anthropic's GTM organization and owning a portfolio of programs end to end. You'll build a deep understanding of our organization and priorities, where we are and where we're going, and turn that vision into plans you execute: data-driven in determining what needs to happen, creative in how you design each program, and outcomes-driven in ensuring it drives the success of the field. You'll work across a wide variety of teams, including Sales, Strategy, Enablement, Marketing, and Partnerships, helping them operate as one team behind each program. GTM Programs is a new function, and this is one of its first hires: an opportunity to build the function, not just join it. The timing matters: every organization is deciding its AI strategy right now, and the programs this team builds shape how our field meets that moment. You'll help define what a well-run program looks like at Anthropic, operating with high autonomy. Key responsibilities Serve as a trusted advisor to AMER Sales Leadership: bring data-backed insight and recommendations into their operating reviews, and shape the strategic initiatives that come out of them Own GTM programs end to end: translate leadership priorities into structured programs with clear objectives, owners, and milestones, and carry them from concept through launch, operations, and iteration with measured uplift as the outcome you're accountable for Define the measurement plan before a program launches: baseline, targets, the metrics that will show uplift, and how results will be attributed to the program Instrument every program into the GTM operating cadence, so leadership can inspect program results in the same reviews where they run the business Build the dashboards and reporting that make program performance visible at every level of the organization, from global leadership to the individual seller Package what's working (industry patterns, use cases, activation motions) into repeatable plays that sellers can run without you in the room Partner with Strategy, Enablement, Product Marketing, and Partnerships to build programs once and land them consistently across the field Gather structured feedback from sellers and sales managers, and treat every launch as a hypothesis to improve on Build the templates, playbooks, and measurement infrastructure that let future programs launch instrumented by default Minimum qualifications Have designed and run sales or GTM programs end to end with measured results, and can speak to the uplift they produced, not only the activities they ran Strong analytical capabilities: fluency with CRM data and reporting (e.g., Salesforce) and BI dashboards, and a demonstrated ability to turn complex data and ambiguous, open-ended problems into clear analysis, options, and a recommendation Structured program management: plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and a decision log that keeps stakeholders on one version of the truth Have driven cross-functional initiatives to completion across teams without formal authority over any of them Communicate clearly with both sellers and senior leadership, and can make complex material simple enough for the field to act on Work effectively in fast-moving environments with high ambiguity, and are comfortable building where no process exists yet Are excited about Anthropic's mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial Preferred qualifications Extensive experience in GTM programs, sales strategy and operations, or a consulting background with a track record of building for clients rather than only advising Hands-on experience creating AI workflows with Claude or similar tools, and comfort running and improving them at operational volume Have designed measurement or attribution frameworks for GTM motions, such as pipeline sourced and influenced models, activation funnels, or experiment designs like control groups and staged rollouts Strong understanding of GTM data and the drivers behind it Have run pipeline generation, activation, or adoption programs and can quantify their impact Have worked inside or alongside a sales organization's operating cadence (forecast calls, pipeline reviews, account reviews) and know how to make program results legible within it Have built industry or vertical GTM plays, or use-case-based selling motions, and understand how to package them for a field organization Experience at a company selling technical or AI products, and an understanding of how enterprises evaluate, adopt, and scale AI Have been an early hire in a new function or team and helped define how it operates The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $270,000 — $310,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. About the team OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with customers to turn research breakthroughs into production systems. We embed deeply with users to solve high-leverage problems. We move quickly from prototype to deployment and surface patterns that shape the platform. We operate at the intersection of customer delivery and core development. We work closely with Product, Research, and Go-To-Market (GTM). About the role We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to build and deploy AI systems for legal work. You will embed deeply with customers—often working closely with senior legal practitioners—to identify the right first use case, rapidly prototype a solution, and prove measurable value. Early engagements may focus on creating a “hero” workflow that shows how OpenAI’s models can support legal analysis, drafting, research, or real-time work with complex case records. You will own the technical work from discovery and proof of concept through production adoption, while translating customer workflows and constraints into clear product feedback. As the motion matures, you will turn successful deployments into repeatable patterns that can scale across larger accounts and the broader legal market. This role is based in San Francisco or New York City. We use a hybrid work model of three days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance. Travel up to 50% may be required. In this role, you will Embed with law firms and legal teams to understand their workflows, identify high-value opportunities, and select the right initial use cases to prove value. Build full-stack systems that deliver customer value and sharpen how we learn Embed closely with customer teams, understand their needs, and guide adoption of what you build Make trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality; adjust plans to protect delivery Contribute directly in the code when progress or clarity depends on it Codify working patterns into tools, playbooks, or building blocks that others can use Share field feedback that helps Research and Product understand where the models succeed and where they can improve You might thrive in this role if you Bring 5+ years of software engineering, ML engineering, or technical deployment experience with customer-facing ownership in financial services or adjacent regulated industries. Have experience with legal technology, legal services, compliance-heavy workflows, or professional services; this is helpful but not required. Have owned complex AI or data-driven systems end-to-end, from scoping through production adoption, in environments where errors carry real financial or regulatory consequences. Write and review production-grade code across backend and frontend systems using Python, JavaScript, or comparable stacks. Have deployed systems powered by LLMs or generative models and understand how model behavior, evaluation, and guardrails affect user trust and business outcomes. Communicate clearly across engineering, product, risk, compliance, and executive stakeholders, translating technical trade-offs into decision quality and risk posture. Apply systems thinking with high execution standards, turning incidents, escalations, and failures into improved operating standards and repeatable deployment patterns. Stay calm and decisive when delivery is urgent, ambiguous, and high-stakes. About the Team The Consumer Devices team at OpenAI builds end-to-end hardware and software systems that bring AI into the physical world. We work at the intersection of custom silicon, embedded systems, operating systems, and cloud services to deliver reliable, production-ready devices at scale. About the role We are looking for an Operating Systems Engineer to build and harden the OS foundations for OpenAI products. We are especially interested in experienced, passionate, and innovative operating systems developers who thrive on building foundational platform software and solving hard problems in security, privacy, performance, power, and reliability. You will work across the OS kernel, core OS services, security and privacy primitives, performance and power, and the frameworks that connect applications and UI to the system. This role emphasizes deep debugging and systems ownership from development through production. You will collaborate closely with embedded, firmware, hardware, application, and product engineering teams. Experience with hardware bring-up is a plus, but not required. What you will do Work on end-to-end OS capabilities spanning the OS kernel, userspace services, application frameworks, UI toolkits, and application-facing APIs. Develop, integrate, and maintain OS components, both kernel-bound and in userspace, including scheduling, memory management, filesystems, drivers, IPC/RPC mechanisms, and security-relevant subsystems. Build and maintain core OS services and daemons (init, service management, device discovery, networking primitives, time, logging, update hooks, crash handling, and so on). Design and implement security and privacy mechanisms: Secure boot and measured boot integration points (where applicable). Mandatory access control and sandboxing. Secrets management, secure storage, key handling, and least-privilege service design. Privacy-preserving telemetry, data minimization, and user-consent oriented system behaviors. Establish a performance and power discipline: Instrumentation, profiling, and regression detection for boot time, latency, throughput, and memory. Power measurement workflows, battery and thermal aware tuning, and energy regression prevention. Build first-class debugging and observability for the OS: Tracing and profiling using tools such as ftrace, perf, eBPF, BPFtrace, LTTng, systemtap, flamegraphs. Crash triage and root cause analysis across kernel and userspace, including postmortem tooling and symbolication. Provide stable, well-documented platform interfaces for application frameworks and UI frameworks: Windowing/compositing primitives (e.g., Wayland), input pipelines, graphics stack integration (e.g., DRM/KMS), and UI performance. System APIs for permissions, notifications, background execution, storage, device access, and lifecycle management. Contribute to reliability and release readiness: Production hardening, incident response participation, and cross-team debugging. Test strategy across unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop environments; improve coverage and reduce flakiness. Required qualifications Strong experience with systems programming (such as with Linux, BSD, etc), including meaningful work in the kernel (drivers, core subsystems, or platform enablement) and operating systems. Professional proficiency in C, C++ for low-level systems development. Experience building or maintaining core OS services and platform software (system services, daemons, init/service management, device management, logging/telemetry pipelines). Track record of debugging complex issues across kernel/userspace boundaries using tracing, profiling, and structured root cause analysis. Familiarity with security fundamentals in OS design: isolation boundaries, privilege separation, secure IPC, attack surface reduction, and vulnerability mitigation practices. Strongly preferred Production experience with Rust in systems contexts (kernel-adjacent tooling, userspace services, security-sensitive components, or performance-critical libraries). Experience with OS security hardening: SELinux/AppArmor policy, sandboxing, seccomp, namespaces/cgroups, secure boot chains, exploit mitigations. Experience setting up and operationalizing observability: eBPF-based tooling, perf pipelines, automated regression detection. Performance and power optimization experience, including measurement methodology (power rails, battery instrumentation, thermal constraints) and closed-loop tuning. Experience supporting application or UI frameworks at the OS boundary (Wayland/compositors, graphics pipeline performance, input latency, lifecycle/permission models). Nice to have Hardware bring-up exposure (bootloader/early boot debugging, device tree/ACPI, board revisions, peripheral enablement), even if not your primary background. Experience with OTA/update systems, partitioning strategies, rollback/health checks, and update security (signing, provenance). Experience contributing to upstream open source projects (Linux kernel, system components) and managing long-lived downstream patches responsibly. What success looks like The OS is secure by default, privacy-preserving, and designed for least privilege. Performance and power characteristics are measurable, repeatable, and continuously improved with low regression rates. Debugging is fast: tracing, logs, crash artifacts, and metrics make issues diagnosable in development and in the field. Application and UI teams have stable, well-documented system interfaces that enable high-quality product experiences. Working style You take ownership across boundaries: kernel, services, tooling, and the interfaces that applications rely on. You are comfortable making careful tradeoffs between security, privacy, performance, power, and developer velocity. You communicate clearly with partner teams and can translate low-level findings into actionable changes. The Business Marketing team contributes to our broader mission of ensuring responsible and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence by developing and executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and usage for OpenAI’s products and platform amongst core business audiences. The Strategy & Operations function supports Business Marketing with operating models and cadences; strategic planning; portfolio, resource, and investment management; measurement and organizational learning that empower our teams to move at pace with clarity and confidence. This is a hybrid role, based in San Francisco Bay Area (preferred) or New York City three days a week. About the Role Business Marketing moves quickly, and this role sits close to the work. We’re looking for an analytical, highly collaborative Business Operations Manager who can turn a complex marketing budget into better day-to-day decisions. You will partner with marketing leaders, Strategic Finance, Procurement, Data Science, agencies, and regional teams to plan and pace spend, manage commitments, answer urgent questions, and translate investment data into clear actions. This role is not for someone who prefers back-office operations. You will be embedded in the business, understand what teams are trying to achieve, and help them move faster with confidence. You will run the operating rhythm for budget administration across a global, highly matrixed team: maintaining a trusted view of allocations, POs, contracts, actuals, forecasts, and risks; reconciling inputs across different marketing functions, regions, and shared services; and surfacing tradeoffs for leadership and Strategic Finance. You will also partner with Data Science to better connect spend to outcomes, lead useful ad hoc analysis, and build AI-enabled tools and workflows that take the friction out of budget management and make the information more timely, intuitive, and genuinely useful. In this role, you will: Own day-to-day budget administration across allocations, forecasts, commitments, purchase requests, purchase orders, invoices, accruals, actuals, and reconciliation. Partner with Business Marketing leadership and Strategic Finance to operationalize allocation decisions, maintain forecasts, prepare scenarios, and surface tradeoffs. Work side-by-side with marketing leaders across campaigns, events, agencies, contractors, regions, and shared services to plan, pace, track, and manage spend. Manage the purchasing and contract lifecycle with Procurement, Finance, Legal, agencies, contractors, and vendors, including POs, SOWs, renewals, rate cards, and commitments. Maintain a trusted global view of spend; reconcile conflicting inputs, identify variances, duplicate costs, timing differences, and at-risk spend, and escalate material issues early. Build models, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses that connect investments to business goals and help leaders decide what to fund, reduce, defer, challenge, or escalate. Partner with Data Science and Analytics to improve how Business Marketing understands ROI, effectiveness, and the relationship between spend and outcomes. You might thrive in this role, if you: Bring 4+ years of experience in business operations, strategic finance, FP&A, marketing operations, business analytics, consulting, or a related quantitative role in a fast-moving, matrixed organization; B2B business understanding preferred. Strong hands-on experience with significant, at scale budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, commitments, accruals, invoices, and reconciliation. Excellent analytical skills and genuine curiosity: you enjoy digging into messy data, answering ad hoc questions, and finding the business story behind the numbers. Practical understanding of purchasing, contracts, agencies, vendors, and the operational details that keep spend moving responsibly. Ability to communicate clearly, build trust with marketers and finance partners, and create alignment across different marketing functions, regions, and shared services without formal authority. An AI-native builder mindset: you see a repetitive spreadsheet, approval, reconciliation, or reporting task and start thinking about how to make it simpler, faster, and more useful. The Strategy & Operations function supports Business Marketing with operating models and cadences; strategic planning; portfolio, resource, and investment management; measurement and organizational learning that empower our teams to move at pace with clarity and confidence. About the Role We’re looking for a resourceful, systems-minded program manager to help Business Marketing turn a constant flow of ideas, requests, and priorities into world-class, high-performing marketing campaigns. You’ll manage our marketing portfolio and intake process, lead selected cross-functional projects, and build AI-enabled tools that make it easier for marketers to get their work done. You’ll be the first partner for new requests: understanding the business need, sizing the work, and finding its best home. You’ll connect requests to existing campaigns and programs where possible, establish clear ownership, and make sure teams have the context and structure they need to move quickly. This role combines an integrated marketing mindset with hands-on project management and a builder’s instinct. You should enjoy being the person everyone reaches out to, making sense of ambiguity, and seeing how a small ask might become a much bigger thing—or when a big ask is actually something quite small. This role makes everyone’s life a little easier by providing a better understanding of what’s happening across the entire department, a clear way to kick off work with the right people, high-touch support for our most intense projects, and useful systems that take friction out of everyone’s day. In this role, you will: Lead selected cross-functional projects. Build the model by program-managing some of our biggest, most complex initiatives. Take projects from initial definition through delivery, coordinating dependencies, resolving blockers, managing scope changes, and keeping stakeholders aligned as priorities evolve. Use what you learn to inform the process. Run marketing intake and triage. Clarify the audience, business objective, urgency, scope, and readiness of new requests. Help stakeholders turn incomplete requests into actionable briefs through quick conversations rather than cumbersome processes or forms. Find a path to “yes, we can” for most requests, and feel comfortable telling a stakeholder “why not” if that’s truly the best answer. Manage the ongoing marketing portfolio. Maintain a clear view of active and upcoming work. Use your deep knowledge of the portfolio—including team members’ responsibilities and availability—to push for single-threaded, named leadership when there are multiple contributors. Find the right home for the work. Determine whether a request belongs within an existing campaign, needs integrated marketing involvement, warrants a standalone project, or can be handled through self-service. Understand that every request is important for some reason and treat it as such, while still making recommendations grounded in business priorities. Set projects up for effective collaboration. Create clarity by naming accountable owners, clarifying who has decision-making authority, and codifying working teams, milestones, and the appropriate information structure. Use AI workflows to kick off briefs and project spaces and appropriately capture status updates and decision records. Partner closely with Creative Operations. Bring creative partners in early to help shape briefs and assess feasibility and production needs. Ensure Creative Operations has what it needs to assign creative staff, estimate capacity, scope agency agreements, and create production timelines. Build and improve AI-enabled tools and workflows. Personally prototype and implement practical ways to improve intake, brief development, project setup, portfolio visibility, and reporting. Test with users, maintain appropriate human review, and improve what actually saves people time. Make the operating model easier to use. Use team feedback and delivery patterns to simplify processes, strengthen self-service, and reduce repetitive coordination. Build systems that remain useful as the team and volume of work grow. You might thrive in this role, if you have: 7+ years of experience in marketing program and project management, integrated marketing management, or marketing portfolio management across multiple teams and concurrent priorities. A track record of personally leading cross-functional projects, establishing ownership, managing dependencies, and driving work through to completion. An integrated marketing mindset: you see beyond an individual deliverable to understand its audience, purpose, campaign context, and relationship to other work. Strong judgment in ambiguous situations, including the ability to distinguish urgency from importance, ask the right questions, and make practical recommendations with incomplete information. Experience designing intake processes, project structures, and portfolio systems that people adopt and prefer to use because they make their lives easier. Hands-on experience building AI-enabled tools, automations, or workflows, with concrete examples of how they improved work. You can move from identifying a problem to testing and implementing a useful solution. The ability to build trust with marketers, creatives, and operational partners, including when you need to challenge an ask, reset expectations, or recommend a different path. A consulting-like approach to problem-solving: curiosity, structured thinking, comfort with unfamiliar problems, and a willingness to do hands-on work. A bias toward simplicity and sustainable execution. You create clarity and momentum without adding meetings, processes, or maintenance that outweigh their value. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research.
