About the Team The Demo Studio is responsible for translating OpenAI’s most advanced capabilities into tangible, high-impact experiences for customers. We design and deliver the demos, applications, and environments that define how executives understand what is possible with AI. Our work sits at the intersection of product, engineering, design, and go-to-market. We operate as a hybrid of product studio and live production team, building experiences that are both technically credible and narratively compelling. About the Role We’re looking for a Demo Studio Lead to own the end-to-end demo experience for OpenAI’s major events, webinars, and strategic programs. This is a highly cross-functional role focused on translating cutting-edge AI capabilities into clear, compelling, and production-ready experiences. You will own the full demo portfolio for an event or initiative, spanning mainstage moments, breakout experiences, booths, and supporting content. You’ll define the narrative, architect workflows, build high-fidelity demo environments, direct presenters, and ensure flawless execution in live environments. This is not a traditional sales engineering, presentation, or narrowly scoped design role — it requires a combination of product thinking, technical fluency, storytelling, systems design, and operational excellence. A key part of the role is presenting the work directly: delivering live demonstrations to executive, technical, and industry audiences across mainstage, breakout, customer, and recorded settings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, operates with strong ownership, and is excited about shaping how the world experiences AI firsthand. This is a hybrid role that can be based in either San Francisco or New York. In this role, you will: Own the end-to-end demo experience across OpenAI-hosted summits, webinars, third-party industry events, and strategic executive demonstrations. Translate approved product positioning, real OpenAI capabilities, and audience needs into compelling narratives, believable customer workflows, and clear takeaways. Personally build high-fidelity demo environments, working applications, and agent-driven workflows using ChatGPT Work, Codex, approved data, and connected tools. Personally present live demonstrations to executive, technical, and industry audiences, adapting the story and level of detail in real time. Lead technical and live-production readiness, including presenter rehearsals, capability validation, known limitations, troubleshooting, and recovery plans. Design cohesive experiences across keynotes, breakouts, demo theaters, booths, webinars, and attendee-facing activations. Partner with Product, Research, Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, GTM, and Events to align on technical truth, approved claims, audience needs, and execution. Create reusable golden narratives, reference demonstrations, presenter guidance, approved assets, and audience-specific adaptations that extend the strongest work across programs. Prioritize requests based on strategic audience value, customer benefit, product readiness, reuse potential, and available team capacity. You might thrive in this role if you have: 10+ years in B2B technical product marketing and/or technical success roles A strong systems thinking and can design end-to-end workflows and experiences Are technically fluent and comfortable working with APIs, AI systems, data, and modern development tools Experience building demos, prototypes, or customer-facing applications Strong storytelling instincts and can simplify complex technical concepts into compelling narratives Are exceptional live presenters with executive presence, able to make complex technical work clear, credible, and compelling in both scripted and unscripted settings Thrive in high-stakes environments such as launches, conferences, or live executive demos Are highly detail-oriented and care deeply about craft, usability, and quality Can operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in ambiguous environments Stay calm under pressure and can troubleshoot effectively in real time This role is not A traditional sales engineering role focused on feature walkthroughs. A pure design or engineering role with narrow scope. A presentation-only role without ownership of the underlying system. Limited to a single demo or deliverable. Why this role exists As AI systems become more capable, the gap between what is technically possible and what customers can intuitively understand is widening. This role exists to close that gap by turning capability into experience, and ensuring that experience holds up across an entire event, not just a single moment. About the team Platform Partnerships builds and grows the relationships that extend OpenAI products through the world’s most important technology platforms. The team works across Product, Engineering, Research, Go-to-Market, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Operations to turn partner opportunities into durable product experiences and business outcomes. We are a small team working on opportunities that rarely arrive with a playbook. We set the strategy, make the tradeoffs, and stay close to execution through launch and scale. About the role We’re hiring a Strategic Partner Manager to own and drive the expansion of a portfolio of OpenAI’s most strategic platform partnerships. You will treat each partnership as a business: set the expansion thesis, align joint product roadmaps, structure commercial opportunities, and translate shared ambition into measurable adoption, usage, revenue, distribution, and product impact. This is a senior individual-contributor role with full-lifecycle ownership—from strategy and negotiation through integration, launch, performance, expansion, and renewal. It is a 0-to-1 builder role, not a coordination role. You will create clarity where the operating model is still emerging, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and step into the details required to move the work forward. The right person can move fluidly between a multi-year partnership strategy and the immediate product, commercial, or operating blocker in front of the team. You will build trusted relationships at the executive and working levels while representing OpenAI’s priorities with clarity and thoughtful pushback. What success looks like Each priority partner has a clear expansion thesis, joint roadmap, governance model, and measurable outcomes. High-priority product integrations and go-to-market initiatives launch with clear ownership, strong readiness, and fewer unresolved dependencies. Partnerships show measurable growth across the outcomes that matter for the relationship, including adoption, usage, revenue, distribution, and product value. Executives receive concise, decision-ready recommendations that make tradeoffs, risks, and next steps clear. Partner and market feedback improves OpenAI’s product, ecosystem, and go-to-market strategy. Successful approaches become repeatable playbooks for the broader platform-partnership portfolio. In this role, you will Own a portfolio of strategic platform partnerships as businesses, setting direction, prioritizing opportunities, and driving outcomes aligned with OpenAI’s product and company goals. Develop multi-year expansion strategies and joint business plans that connect product roadmaps, commercial opportunities, go-to-market motions, and measurable outcomes. Lead the full partnership lifecycle: strategy, partner evaluation, commercial negotiation, technical and product integration, launch, performance management, expansion, and renewal. Align Product, Engineering, Research, Go-to-Market, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Operations around clear priorities, owners, dependencies, and decisions. Build trusted executive and working-level relationships across both organizations, creating direct communication, shared accountability, and durable alignment. Establish and run operating cadences, including roadmap reviews, business reviews, launch-readiness reviews, issue resolution, and escalation paths. Translate partner needs, technical constraints, customer feedback, and market signals into product, ecosystem, and go-to-market recommendations. Define success metrics and communicate progress, risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities through concise executive materials. Resolve blockers and apply thoughtful pushback when partner requests conflict with OpenAI’s priorities or create unclear value. Turn first-of-kind partnership work into simple, reusable playbooks and operating models that improve execution as the portfolio scales. You might thrive in this role if you Have 12+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, product partnerships, business development, product strategy, or related technology roles. Have a track record of building, launching, and expanding complex platform partnerships from 0 to 1 and through scale, with measurable commercial, adoption, distribution, or product outcomes. Bring strong product and technical judgment and can work credibly with Product and Engineering on APIs, integrations, developer platforms, data flows, agents, or emerging products. Have structured and negotiated complex commercial and technical agreements and can balance near-term outcomes with long-term strategic value. Use data and sound judgment to define success, evaluate tradeoffs, and prioritize among competing opportunities. Communicate clearly with executive, technical, commercial, and operational audiences, including through high-quality written plans and decision materials. Build trust, resolve conflict, and manage expectations across functions and company boundaries without relying on formal authority. Bring high agency, low ego, and exceptional follow-through; you are willing to do the detailed work required to move an outcome forward. Can move between multi-year strategy and weekly execution in a fast-changing environment with incomplete information. Nice to have Experience with AI, developer platforms, APIs, agents, marketplaces, or technology ecosystems. Experience operating in both a scaled platform organization and a high-growth company. About the Team We're building the foundation for a new kind of AI coworker: persistent agents that have their own environments, can meet people wherever they work, and continue making progress for as long as a task requires. Our goal is to help individuals, teams, and organizations delegate meaningful work to AI—not just ask questions or complete a single turn. Our work brings together product, agent, and infrastructure capabilities across OpenAI. Together, we are creating always-on virtual coworkers that can carry context across tasks, operate through the right tools and channels, and deliver reliable results in real workplace environments. About the Role We’re looking for a full stack product engineer to shape how people discover, direct, and collaborate with AI coworkers. You’ll own product experiences end to end, spending roughly equal time building intuitive frontend surfaces and the backend systems that make agentic workflows persistent, reliable, and useful. You’ll work at the intersection of product engineering, design, agent capabilities, and enterprise readiness—turning rapidly evolving model and platform capabilities into experiences customers can understand, trust, and use every day. In this role, you will: Design, build, and ship full stack product experiences that help people and teams delegate meaningful work to persistent AI coworkers. Create intuitive frontend interfaces for directing agents, reviewing their progress, understanding their actions, and collaborating on the work they produce. Build backend APIs, services, and data models that support persistent agent state, asynchronous execution, orchestration, and progress reporting. Develop workflows that help agents access relevant context, use tools, and collaborate with people across workplace surfaces and channels. Partner with product, design, research, and engineering teams to turn shared capabilities into cohesive products. Build trust into the product through clear user controls, understandable agent behavior, safe execution, and reliable operational foundations. Use customer feedback, product insight, and rapid iteration to identify high-value workflows and improve how AI coworkers deliver useful results. You might thrive in this role if you have: 7+ years of professional full-stack or product engineering experience, ideally building user-facing products in product-driven or enterprise environments. A track record of shipping polished user-facing products and production backend systems with meaningful ownership across the full stack. Strong frontend skills with TypeScript, React, and modern web application development, including a thoughtful approach to interaction design and usability. Experience building backend services, APIs, data models, and production systems in Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, or similar languages. Strong product judgment and comfort taking ambiguous customer problems from concept through implementation, launch, and iteration. Experience designing software for complex workflows, collaboration, enterprise users, developer tools, or other trust-sensitive product environments. Ability to reason about asynchronous work, stateful systems, reliability, performance, security, and the tradeoffs required to deliver a great user experience. Proven ability to work closely with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers across multiple teams. High agency, strong execution, and enthusiasm for building new products in a fast-moving environment. Interest in AI agents and the future of work; experience with agentic systems, enterprise software, or early-stage products is helpful but not required.
