Senior Manager, Order to Cash — AI Products & Cloud Partnerships
About the Team OpenAI Finance ensures the organization is positioned for long-term success as we pursue our mission. The Order to Cash (OTC) team oversees the complete flow of commercial transactions from order intake and provisioning through billing, collections, and cash application — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence in support of OpenAI’s mission to ensure artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. About the Role We are seeking a Senior Manager to build and scale Order to Cash across OpenAI’s API and ChatGPT businesses, cloud marketplaces, and strategic partnership channels. This role will own end-to-end Order Management and Billing operations across API and ChatGPT while leading OTC readiness and execution for AWS Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace, Oracle Cloud Marketplace, GovCloud, and future partner channels. The role will also own the end-to-end Order Management and Billing close, setting the close calendar, readiness standards, review and sign-off expectations, while leading the team responsible for execution. You will oversee the Order Management and Billing lifecycle across API, ChatGPT, marketplace, and partner transactions, spanning commercial readiness, order intake, provisioning, usage and transaction data, pricing validation, invoicing, credits, settlements, and product and partner reporting. Your work will ensure transactions are accurate, timely, complete, and supported by audit-ready controls. This is a leadership role that combines strategic ownership, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on operational execution. You will define the target operating model, lead first-of-kind launches, shape product and systems roadmaps, and oversee the resolution of complex contract modifications, non-standard pricing, usage disputes, reconciliation breaks, settlement variances, and customer- or partner-impacting escalations. You will collaborate with teams across Finance, GTM, Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Revenue Systems, and Partner Operations, as well as external marketplace stakeholders. Your work will help create the operational foundation OpenAI needs to scale API, ChatGPT, cloud marketplaces, and new monetization channels globally. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of three days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Own the strategy and end-to-end operating performance across OpenAI’s API and ChatGPT businesses, strategic cloud marketplaces, and partner channels, establishing a consistent operating model that scales across products and relationships. Lead the end-to-end Order Management and Billing lifecycle across API, ChatGPT, marketplace, and partner transactions, including private offers, order intake, provisioning, usage or transaction ingestion, pricing and discount validation, invoicing, credits, settlements, and reporting. Design source-to-settlement reconciliation, completeness, and exception-management frameworks across orders, entitlements, usage, pricing, invoices, marketplace reports, settlements, and financial systems. Own FTE and BPO operating performance across service levels, capacity, quality, controls, close readiness, and escalations; use performance data to strengthen accountability, coaching, and independent execution. Serve as the accountable DRI for the end-to-end Order Management and Billing close across API, ChatGPT, and Cloud Partnerships, setting the close calendar and readiness criteria and ensuring the team delivers timely execution, reconciliations, review, issue resolution, and sign-off. Partner with Revenue Accounting and Technical Revenue Accounting on contract review, usage validation, invoice verification, revenue recognition requirements, and post-close improvements. Build and lead a high-performing organization across API, ChatGPT, and Cloud Partnerships, developing leaders and establishing the accountability, operating discipline, and organizational capacity required to scale globally. Serve as the senior escalation point for Order Management and Billing issues, assessing financial and customer impact, coordinating resolution, identifying root causes, and ensuring durable corrective actions. Establish scalable controls, approval paths, segregation of duties, audit evidence, and documentation that protect financial integrity while supporting a strong customer and partner experience. Influence Product, Engineering, Revenue Systems, Finance Systems, GTM, Legal, Tax, Deal Desk, and Partner Operations roadmaps so API, ChatGPT, marketplace, and partner requirements are addressed upstream and scale with the business. Define operational metrics and executive reporting for billing accuracy, automation, cycle time, backlog, service levels, exceptions, settlements, close readiness and timeliness, partner escalations, BPO quality, control performance, and throughput; use insights to prioritize improvements and drive accountability. Build durable operating mechanisms—including governance forums, clear ownership models, service levels, standard operating procedures, playbooks, training, capacity plans, quality controls, and escalation paths—and govern repeatable execution through shared-services or external delivery teams. Lead the process, systems, AI, and automation roadmap across API, ChatGPT, and cloud marketplace Order Management and Billing, increasing touchless processing, reducing manual work and rework, and identifying discrepancies before they create revenue, customer, partner, or close impact. You might thrive in this role if you have: 10+ years of progressive experience across Order Management, Billing Operations, Order to Cash, Revenue Operations, or Revenue Accounting in a high-growth SaaS, technology, or usage-based business. 6+ years of direct people-management experience, with a demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams through growth, complexity, and change. Deep experience with usage-based or enterprise SaaS billing, API- or product-led monetization, cloud marketplaces, reseller ecosystems, or other complex partner-billing models. Experience with AWS Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace, Oracle Cloud Marketplace, Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, or comparable ecosystems is highly relevant. Strong understanding of quote-to-cash and order-to-cash processes across subscription, consumption-based, committed-spend, private-offer, and indirect or partner-led business models. Strong command of operational controls, source-to-ledger reconciliations, data completeness, segregation of duties, audit readiness, and the financial risks created by upstream or downstream process failures. Hands-on experience with CRM, CPQ, contracting, billing, payment, ERP, and data platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, Stripe, Metronome, or comparable systems, as well as marketplace APIs, reports, or settlement data. Experience defining or governing scaled service delivery through shared-services, offshore, or external teams, including service levels, enablement, capacity planning, quality assurance, performance management, and escalations. The ability to set direction, make sound risk-based decisions, and influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Product, Engineering, GTM, Legal, Tax, and external partner organizations. Exceptional analytical and executive communication skills, with the judgment to simplify complex issues, navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and remain hands-on when the business requires it. Technical Commodity Manager - Robotics
About Team Our Robotics team is focused on unlocking general-purpose robotics and advancing toward AGI-level intelligence in dynamic, real-world environments. Working across the full model and systems stack, we integrate cutting-edge hardware and software to explore a broad range of robotic form factors. We strive to seamlessly blend high-level AI capabilities with the physical constraints of real-world systems to improve people’s lives. About Role We're a growing hardware company. As we scale, we also need a supply chain that evolves and stays nimble to the changing shape and direction our engineers designs. Today we need someone who understands the iterative process of R&D but is also ready to expand into new product introduction (NPI), and after that, high-volume manufacturing. We're hiring for where we're headed, not just where we are today. This role prioritizes judgment, adaptability, and analytical ability over years of experience alone. A strong candidate will be able to reason from first principles, quickly develop expertise in new commodities, and identify potential commercial or technical issues before they affect the program. While extensive tenure is not required, this is not an entry-level position; candidates should have a solid foundation in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and hardware manufacturing. Over time, you'll help us build out a full supply chain organization: buyers, global supply managers (GSMs), contract manufacturing leads, and specialists across categories like precision machining, gears and mechanical components, EMS/PCBA, electrical components, and contract/JDM manufacturing. Where this role goes - into a specific commodity, into people management, into ops - will depend on where you're strongest and where the business needs you most. This role is based in San Francisco, CA and requires in-person presence 4 days a week and up to 30% travel to vendor sites. In this role you will: Partner directly with engineering during R&D to source components, qualify vendors, and get quotes and samples turned around quickly, without waiting on a fully built-out process. Build supplier relationships from scratch in categories that matter to us today (and be willing to pick up new ones as our needs shift). Evaluate quotes, lead times, and vendor capabilities well enough to make a sound call even when the data is incomplete. Be a cross functional partner that is able to work with legal, finance, and the leadership team to gather approvals and remove roadblocks. Help stand up the processes, tools, and vendor scorecards a growing supply chain org actually needs. You won't be inheriting a mature system, you'll be helping build it. As we move into NPI, work with engineering and quality to get designs ready for production: DFM feedback, first-article inspection, pilot builds. As we scale into high-volume manufacturing, help transition sourcing relationships and processes from prototype-friendly vendors to production-grade suppliers and contract manufacturers. Flag risk early — single-source dependencies, long-lead components, supplier financial or quality issues — and bring solutions, not just problems. You might thrive in this role if you: Strong reasoning ability and intellectual curiosity. You should be comfortable digging into a new commodity or technology you don't know well and getting up to speed fast. Solid grounding in supply chain fundamentals - purchasing, negotiation, supplier management, basic understanding of manufacturing processes, even if your total years of experience are modest. Comfort with ambiguity. Early-stage supply chain work means incomplete data, shifting priorities, and building the plane while flying it. Direct, clear communication with engineers, with suppliers, and with leadership. Some exposure to the hardware supply chain is required; deep specialization is not. Any of the following is a plus, not a prerequisite: precision machining, gears/mechanical components, EMS (electronics manufacturing services), PCBA, electrical/electronic components, contract manufacturing or JDM relationships. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience working with technical hardware, components, manufacturing processes, and technical supplier decisions. What success looks like: Within the first 6 months, you will have: Engineering and manufacturing see you as a highly responsive, agile partner who moves at their pace, turning evolving technical and production needs into viable supplier options, quotes, samples, and clear recommendations without becoming a bottleneck. You’ve built a strong understanding of our most important commodities, suppliers, cost drivers, lead times, and manufacturing constraints. Our highest-priority supply risks (long-lead parts, single-source dependencies, quality concerns, and weak supplier capacity) are visible, actively managed, and backed by practical mitigation plans. You’ve established strong relationships with existing suppliers and added credible alternatives where we need more capability, leverage, or resilience. The basic operating system for supply chain is taking shape: clear sourcing and purchasing workflows, reliable supplier and part data, and lightweight tools for tracking cost, delivery, quality, and risk. You’re helping prepare upcoming designs for NPI by bringing supplier, manufacturability, cost, and lead-time considerations into engineering decisions early. Most importantly, you’re operating with independence: making sound calls with incomplete information, escalating the decisions that genuinely need leadership input, and consistently bringing solutions rather than just identifying problems. Software Engineer, Product Infrastructure
Who We Are Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together . We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work. About the Role: The Product Infrastructure team works on creating abstractions and data models that solve enduring problems across the stack. We solve problems that span multiple product surfaces and typically stretch across both front-end and backend and unblock new product avenues that were previously challenging to create. This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days. What You'll Achieve: Shape and build the core frameworks that enable reading and writing data in Notion, integrating feedback from internal customers along the way, using whatever tools are required for the job, such as AWS, Postgres, NodeJS, TypeScript, React on the frontend. Design new systems and abstractions that improve developer productivity, reliability, and performance by handling entire classes of problems up-front for product engineers. Solve hard technical challenges such as designing abstractions for efficient traversal of the user content graph, building a system to sync user content for offline use, or scaling our permission model to serve large customers with complex content. Skills You'll Need to Bring: Thoughtful problem-solving: For you, problem-solving starts with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You can decompose tricky problems and work towards a clean solution. Pragmatic and business-oriented: You care about business impact and prioritize projects accordingly. You're not just going after cool stuff—you understand the balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line. Strive for simplicity: You think critically about the implications of what you're building, and aim for the most simple and well-crafted design. You understand the consequence of complexity, and are motivated to eliminate them. Not ideological about technology: To you, technologies and programming languages are about tradeoffs. You may be opinionated, but you're not ideological and can learn new technologies as you go. Empathetic communication: You communicate nuanced ideas clearly, whether you're explaining technical decisions in writing or brainstorming in real time. In disagreements, you engage thoughtfully with other perspectives and compromise when needed. Team player: For you, work isn't a solo endeavor. You enjoy collaborating cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals, and you care about learning, growing, and helping others to do the same. Nice to Haves: You have leveraged the features of typed languages (e.g. TypeScript, Flow) to drive code migrations, or have implemented your own data modeling paradigms (e.g. writing your own ORM, sync engine, or query language). You have seen how fundamental abstractions scale within a large codebase, and are curious about how different organizations solve similar problems (e.g. TAO by Meta, Zanzibar by Google). You've heard of computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, and others—and understand why we're big fans of their work. You have interests outside of technology, such as in art, history, or social sciences. Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 per year. By clicking “Submit Application”, I understand and agree that Notion and its affiliates and subsidiaries will collect and process my information in accordance with Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy and NYLL 144 . #LI-Onsite A Note on AI You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on. Equal Opportunity & Accommodations We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply.
